In a wild scramble on a final restart with four laps to go, Russell Smith Jr. (Lakeside, NS) and Chris Hughes (Brackley Beach, PE) picked up their first podium finishes of the season taking second and third, respectively.

Dylan Blenkhorn finished 11th in the season finale but it was enough to clinch his first Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Series Championship. Blenkhorn entered the Atlantic Oliver Tire 200 23 points ahead of Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) who finished directly behind the No. 67 in the finale. Blenkhorn’s margin of victory in the championship is 26 points. Starting positions for the Atlantic Oliver Tire 200 were set by Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races which were won by John Flemming (Halifax, NS) Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) and Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS). Cole Butcher picked up the Kenny U-Pull Hard Charger award while Smith picked up the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race. Ward will receive the iconic Exide Battery Rookie trophy at the annual awards banquet in November.

The Maritime League of Legends kicked off the day’s festivities with a 50 lap feature. Craig MacDonald (Waverley, NS) came home first followed by Braden Langille (Shubenacadie, NS) and Tylor Hawes (Porter’s Lake, NS). Langille also takes home the 2019 Maritime League of Legends Championship.

Blenkhorn will officially receive his championship spoils including the impressive championship ring commissioned by Inglis Jewelers at the 2019 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Year End Awards Banquet on November 9th at the Westin Nova Scotia in Halifax.
