(RIVER GLADE, NB - July 14th, 2019) - Braden Langille (Shubenacadie, NS) scored his second Maritime League of Legends Tour victory of the year by taking the R&D Performancenter 50 on Saturday evening at Petty International Raceway. Langille was able to extend his lead over a green flag run to the finish after battling on the final restart with Craig MacDonald (Waverley, NS). The two had one false restart called back before battling it out on the final attempt at a clean start, one that Langille would get the upper hand on.

Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS), making his Maritime League of Legends Tour debut for the season, rallied back in the second half to finish in third. Naugle used the R&D Performancenter 50 as a test session for Friday evening’s Schooner General Contracting Legends Challenge at Riverside International Speedway. Wyatt McCulloch (Stewiacke, NS), driving for Meehan Racing and substituting for Emily Meehan (Rawdon, NS) raced to a fourth place finish ahead of Sam Rogers (Lower Onslow, NS), who started 12th to finish fifth over 50-laps.

Fleet Brake Atlantic Class Bonuses for the R&D Performancenter 50 went to Langille (Pro), MacDonald (Semi Pro), Rogers (Young Lion) and ninth place finisher Darren Sherwood (Cambridge-Narrows, NB; Masters). The top rookie in the field was Rustico, Prince Edward Island’s Devin Gallant, who finished in tenth in the 16 car field. No heat races were contested on the afternoon for the R&D Performancenter 50. The 50-lap feature took 22 minutes to complete.
