Alton, VA (September 14, 2012) - After another stellar driving performance by Damien Faulkner today at Virginia International Raceway, Green Hornet Racing will start tomorrow’s VIR 240 as the top GT-Challenge (GTC) Porsche”¦ again.

Setting a time of 1:52.426, 0.37 seconds faster than his nearest rival, Faulkner claimed his fifth pole position in nine races. As the penultimate round of The American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón, Green Hornet Racing has clinched the honor of having earned the most pole positions available in the 2012 season, and will pursue their seventh podium during tomorrow’s four-hour race.

Once again proving the team’s impressive pace in their debut season of professional racing, Team Owner Peter LeSaffre is keen to maximize the team’s potential for Saturday.

“We’ve earned more than half the pole positions available,” stated LeSaffre. “This once again proves how fast we’ve been all year, now it’s time to make it count. We have all the resources we need to win tomorrow, and that’s what we’re setting out to do.”

For Damien Faulkner, hailing from Ireland, the focus on winning remains the same.

"I'm really happy to get Green Hornet's fifth pole of the season," stated Faulkner. "This team deserves everything we achieve and more. They gave me a great car - I only steered it. Tomorrow we will fight for victory."

With the entire series racing for the first time tomorrow at the scenic 3.27-mile circuit, the four-hour race promises to be a wild one. With the team’s lone goal being focused on their second race victory, the entire organization is keeping any celebration today to a minimum.

Live streaming of tomorrow’s race can be found on at 2:15PM ET, or you can see the race on television this Sunday, September 17, on ESPN2 at 5PM ET.

Having run a partial 2011 campaign in partnership with other organizations, Green Hornet Racing embarks on its first full season effort for the 2012 season, this year running an in-house campaign in the American Le Mans Series GT-C ranks. Coming off of a 2011 season that featured improved finishes at every race, capped off with the team's first podium at Laguna Seca, the team looks to 2012 as a new opportunity to perform at the top level of professional sportscar racing. Having assembled a top-flight team of experienced engineers and technicians, the crew behind this new organization have amassed a number of wins and championships, and combined with a strong driver line-up, the team will be a contender at every race.
