The World record for the longest wheelie took place yesterday afternoon at Kings Park Speedway all in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Lucas Henwood, the event organizer of Wheelies for Awareness, and now Record Holder completed 102 laps Saturday afternoon to break the record. With the old record at 10 kilometres, Henwood greatly by-passed the record by travelling over 50 kilometres on his 1985 Honda Trike. Alongside Henwood's passion for motor biking he hopes to bring awareness to the cause, as cancer hits close to home for him, affecting mainly his father's side including a few aunties and cousins. In the future Henwood hopes his event will grow as he plans to double his record each year.
