The rainy weather of the spring and early summer have not dampened our spirits at Senoia Raceway. We are just looking forward to the exciting events that remain on our 2019 schedule. We appreciate the support our fans, drivers and crew members continue to give us even when mother nature deals us tough hands.

The summer schedule is full of great opportunities to see some world class racing, compete in some special events and enjoy the sport of auto racing with your family and friends. We would like to ask all of you to invite a friend or two to the races over the next couple of months. We strive to find new fans and introduce our sport to others. You can help us reach more by just asking a few people to join us, give the sport a shot and to try something new with their friends and family. Conventional advertising is expensive and does not have the reach it did at one time. All has become fragmented and difficult to get our message of a fun, family oriented option for families to those outside our circle (pun intended). New fans are more open to an invitation from a friend or co-worker.

We appreciate everyone and look forward to a GREAT second half of the season! See you at the races!

    DOUBLE POINTS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT
Drivers have an opportunity this weekend to either make a move in the yearly point standings or solidify their spot in the charge to the season championships. One way to cement your name in the Senoia Raceway record book is to secure a season points title and this year creates a little more prestige as it is the 50th Anniversary Season for the 'South's Baddest Bull Ring'. There is less than two months before the final checkered flag falls on the points season and this weekend's double points race will greatly effect every drivers final ranking.

"A winner will gain a minimum of 20 points against their competitors," said promoter Mayes Massey. "If a driver can win and his closest rival has an off night, they can make up a cool hundred points in one night. The double points can really help a guy out in the standings. Whether your racing for a title or just want to move up a couple of spots in the rankings, this is the night you do not want to miss."

Current Standings for the Limited Late Models, Crate Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby, Bomber and Hot Shots as they head into Saturday's race event (Chargers will also race, but do not have a points chase):

BILLY CLANTON CLASSIC - SATURDAY, JULY 20

The 5th Annual Billy Clanton Classic returns to Senoia Raceway on Saturday, July 20th with a $4025 to win main event for the Super Late Models. Previous winners for the Billy Clanton Classic have included his son Shane Clanton (2015 and 2016), Brandon Sheppard (2017) and Chris 'Smokey' Madden (2018). This year the show returns to it's non-sanctioned roots with no affiliation with any touring series.

"It was too difficult finding a schedule that worked with a series, the track and the Clanton family," said promoter Mayes Massey when asked about the race not be sanctioned by a touring series. "It remains a great honor to win this race and carry on the memory of one of this region's toughest competitors Billy Clanton. A sanction does not make a race better or worst and this race has an appeal for the racers and the fans to attend."

The race night will also feature competition in the Crate Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Chargers, Hobby, Bombers and Mini Stock/Hot Shots. Limited Late Model drivers can plan to compete in the Billy Clanton Classic with a bonus offered to the top finishing competitor from the division.

Tickets for the 5th Annual Billy Clanton Classic are $20; kids 5-12 are $5; four & under are free. The top row of the grandstand is also available to reserve by calling 770.599.6161. The VIP booth remains open for the race event, too.

Pit passes/Trackside passes are $35; kids 5-12 are $20; four & under are free.

Additional information is available on the track website at www.senoiaraceway,com or by calling the track at 770.599.6161.

TWIN 25s FOR THE CRATE LATE MODELS - JULY 27

The Crate Late Model division will be highlighted on Saturday, July 27th as drivers are invited to compete in a pair of feature races with each paying $1000 to the winner! Senoia Raceway has scheduled several special events this season that highlight the weekly competitors and create opportunities to race for greater purses. The Crate Late Models will have a unique opportunity to race for two purses on a single night. Both races will also be points races with drives accumulating points for each of their feature race finishing positions.
"The competition is very close in the Crate Late Model division," said Mayes Massey. "This will be a great showcase of this class and we think the fans will enjoy the show."

Track officials have stated that the success of the event will help determine future plans for double feature events in the other classes.

"It could become an annual event for the Crates, as well as, other classes at Senoia Raceway," Massey added. "We would like to see a good number of competitors sign in for this Crate Late Model special event."

Adding to the fun on this special 'Twin 25s' night of racing, any identical twins attending will receive complimentary grandstand admission. Both twins must check in at the ticket booth at the same time to receive their free admission.
