The August 9 races were canceled due to excessive rainfall right before race time. The sets up for the last Sunday point race of the season this Sunday. In the WISSOTA Super Stocks Dustin Arthur and Cole Searing are tied going to into Season Championship night. Arthur has won the last 2 titles while Searing seeks his first Championship at the Miller Central Speedway. While things are almost over in the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, with Lorin Johnson going for his fifth straight title with a 49 point leading over Adam Brotherton. In the WISSOTA Street Stocks, 2007 champ Michael Bogh leads Broc Stout by just four points with five time defending champion Blayne Baloun fourteen points behind. Only Stout is chasing his first Miller Central Speedway track Point Championship. Things are closer yet in the Pump N Pak Pure Stocks, with defending champ Brandon Hammill leading Jordan Rawstern by 4 points and Preston Blackwell by 10. Lurking in the shadows Mike Hammill and Tre Blasdell still have mathematical shots at the title. Only Brandon Hammill has a Miller Central Speedway Championship on his resume with all others seeking their first. It promises to by and exciting end to the point season at the Miller Central Speedway. But of course that won't be the end of this season's action at the Speedway, with the 3 regular WISSOTA classes being joined by the WISSOTA Late Models and Modifieds in Dog Days of Summer Big Dog Race. With extra large prize money in all five divisions, this promises to be the biggest race yet at the Miller Central Speedway. This will be Saturday August 22. Starting time will be the same with the usual 6:00 PM.
