It was a hot and humid afternoon, but as the sun went down a cool breeze came up and it made for a pleasant evening. Hand County's top Late Model driver Dustin Arthur was absent, attending the birth of he and his wife's first child, Ivan Edward Arthur.

Holt Ranch sponsored the evening and raised the purse for the Late Models to $1500 to win.

The feature races led off with the Pure Stocks. Point leader Kyle Elsen made a move right to the front on the first lap and spun coming out of turn 4 and almost rolled, and went off on the hook. Colton Fryer grabbed the lead for five laps until Jordan Rawstern clawed his way into the lead, but just for a lap and Fryer retook the lead. Rawstern kept up the pressure but with a lap and a half to go he went over the top of turn #2 and retired from the race. Fryer won his second feature at the Speedway over Brandon Hammill, Nathan Van Zee, Mike Hammill and Tyler Kolda.

Next up were the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. Brad Kopecky took the lead at the start and ran away from the field. With the track tacky and fast, there were no yellows and Kopecky led all the way over Lane Johnson, Lorin Johnson, Colby Jensen and Britt Williams. It was Brad's first MW Modified feature win at Miller Central Speedway and his first at the track since 8/5/11.

The Street Stocks also went flag to flag with Blayne Baloun leading all the way over Preston Blackwell, Broc Stout and Curt Grace. It was Blayne's 23rd Street Stock feature win at the speedway.

The WISSOTA Modified feature was short on numbers but long on action. Nick Grehl broke out into the lead and led the first 11 laps. Then points leader Kent Arment went for a hole that he thought was there on the inside and the cars tangled and spun. The yellow was charged to Arment and Grehl got the lead back on the restart, with Arment restarting at the rear. But Arment took the lead on the outside of the frontstretch 2 laps after the restart and won his fourth Modified feature over Grehl, Justin Boomsma and David Carlson.

The WISSOTA Super Stock feature wins deja vu all over again. Casey Hanson led the first 6 laps before Cole Searing went by to maintain his perfect record of winning every week, so far. Hanson, Lane Johnson and Dale Tomes finished behind him. It was Searing's 16th feature win at Miller.

The WISSOTA Late Model feature was the Grand Finale. Mike Jager led the first 2 laps, then Curt Gelling elbowed his way past on the frontstretch. Kent Arment came from deep in the field and passed Gelling on lap seven and won over Gelling, Josh Skorczewski, Brian Diede and Scott Daly. It was his fourth Late Model feature win at the Miller Central Speedway.

Next Sunday's races will feature all six classes. Starting time is always 7:00 PM.
