Benicia, CA (August 29, 2012) - Muscle Milk Pickett Racing is coming into this weekend's Grand Prix of Baltimore still catching their breath from the nail-biting, closest overall American Le Mans Series finish that took place at the previous round at Road America.

The team finished second by only 0.083 seconds but had it not been for their perseverance and determination that allowed them to come back from four laps down - 16 miles! - history would not have been made once again.

That same never-give-up attitude was on display for the first time a year ago when the Muscle Milk squad made their first visit to Baltimore.

The team suffered an electrical issue on their first lap out that set the team back for the entire weekend, only returning to the track just in the nick of time for the start of the race.

Despite starting from the back of the field the team did manage to finish fourth after encountering brake issues that cost them what could have been a possible win.

With the team's 2011 visit to Baltimore being a memorable one for all the wrong reasons, Muscle Milk Pickett Racing will be looking to come out of this year's street fight with happy memories as they target a return to victory lane after seeing their five-race win streak come to an end at Elkhart Lake.

German Klaus Graf will be making his second appearance at the 2.02-mile 12-turn temporary street course while fellow countryman and teammate Lucas Luhr will be making his debut at the Baltimore track after missing out on last year's race due to another racing commitment.

Muscle Milk Pickett Racing will be on track starting Friday, August 31 at 10:50 am for the first practice session of the weekend. Qualifying will take place later that day at 6:05 pm for the P1 cars and can be followed via the live stream on

The Baltimore Sports Car Challenge presented by SRT will go green on Saturday, September 1 at 4:30 pm ET and will be broadcast on tape delayed on ABC Sunday, September 2 at noon. Live action can be followed on starting at 4:15 pm on September 1.

    Muscle Milk Quotes
Klaus Graf, #6 Muscle Milk HPD ARX-03a

"I'm looking forward to our second street race of the year with the Grand Prix of Baltimore. This is another shared event with INDYCAR and as we've seen last year the event was a huge success and I'm very pleased that the ALMS is back in Baltimore.
"This is one of the short races we go to with a two hour duration but nevertheless it will be very important to stay mistake free and have a clean race. We didn't have much fortune at Baltimore last year, so certainly this year we look forward to a smoother weekend.
"The track with the stadium and the harbor area has a nice variety with some challenging turns and to find a good set up quickly will be crucial. However I'm confident that our Muscle Milk HPD ARX-03a car will perform extremely well and that we have a good chance at getting back into victory circle."

Lucas Luhr, #6 Muscle Milk HPD ARX-03a
"I generally like street circuits so I'm looking forward to discovering the Baltimore circuit. I wasn't at the race last year with Muscle Milk Pickett Racing, so this will be my first visit.
"It will be important to walk the track before and to look at some data from last year. Since Klaus was there last season, he will also be able to speed up the learning process.
"I was told that it is a very cool track and a special event so I can't wait to get there and see for myself."***
