ONALASKA, WI ”“ The popular Champions Reunion will return to this fall's 43rd annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend at La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway in West Salem, WI. The annual gathering of past Championship winning drivers is set for Sunday October 7[SUP]th[/SUP], beginning at 11am and will be held in the Hospitality Chalet at the east end of the grandstands. Over 60 Champions attended last year as this event continues to grow in stature and popularity.
All track, series, and previous Oktoberfest feature event champions in any division of racing that have not raced in the last three years are eligible to attend. All on hand will be recognized during the day and served food and beverage. “It’s a small way to say thank you to the Champions that have entertained race fans throughout the Midwest,” stated event promoter Gregg McKarns. “We are so proud to be able to host this event and recognize these great drivers.”

This special event each year also presents a great opportunity for fans in attendance on Sunday to meet and greet their favorite drivers from the past and take a picture or get an autograph.

This year’s special treat will be the display of the Bob Kosiski Ford Thunderbird replica car that competed at the Fairgrounds in its earliest days in West Salem, back in the late 1950s. Kosiski not only competed at La Crosse, but won events on the big half mile track when the surface was dirt. It is hoped Bob himself will attend but it is a certainty that his son, Steve a great NASCAR short track racer in his own right, out of Omaha, NE., will.

The 4th Annual Champions Reunion will once again be hosted by Starmaker Multimedia of Onalaska, WI., and company representative Dale P. Danielski is again looking forward to the day’s arrival. “With the Kosiski car on hand it will bring back great memories of a time of racing for the most that has been forgotten. If not for the group of racers that participated back in the day including Kosiski, Ernie Derr, Ramo Stott, Dick Hutcherson, Don White and numerous others, racing both locally and nationally may not be the successful and extremely popular sport it is today,” concluded Danielski.

We ask that all Champion race drivers planning to attend the event contact Dale P. Danielski at 608-783-5827, email, on FACEBOOK under Champions Reunion IV event, or at the website by October 3rd, 2012. We also ask that you provide information as to what championship events you won and where so that we may use it for promotional purposes the day of the event. You can send this documented information by postal mail as well to Starmaker Multimedia, 967 10[SUP]th[/SUP] Ave N Ste A, Onalaska, WI 54650. Drivers responding will be placed on a list for issuance of a special wrist band, allowing Sunday admittance to the event.

We thank everyone that will be participating as well as attending, and hope everyone enjoys this historic part of the 43rd Annual Oktoberfest Race Weekend, October 4th-7th, 2012, at the La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway.
