MOTTVILLE,MI., SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2012 Another large field of cars and an above average crowd was on hand on a near picture perfect night for the prelude to the First Annual Announcers Choice! Mark Vance, Jr came to Mottville for the first time and won the 25 lap Sportsmen feature over Radical Rich Boal, Jerry Zachary, Brad Blackburn, Jr., Tim Kubiak and Robet Kirkendall. Vance won the heat over Boal and Balckburn. Street Stock points leader Kenny Esmont scored a clean sweep in wining the 25 lap feature, the dash and the heat! Following Esmont in the feature were Tim Bullis, Bobby McDonald, Leonard Davis, Caleb Woods and Lynne Zachary. David and Woods followed Esmont in the dash and Woods and Davis in the heat. Bobby Stremme came to Mottville for the first time this season and he sure appears to be the favorite for the First Annual Announcers Choice as he literally dominated the 25 lap Mini Stock feature! Ron Laughman was 2nd followed by Bobby Laughter, Ryan Schrock, Josh Dunnuck, Terry Kline and Boston Mann. Laughman won the dash over Schrock and Kline and Laughman won the heat over Stremme and Schrock. The 15 lap Mini Thunder Car feature was the closest of the night with 4 cars battling for the lead on the final lap! Danny Fillson scored the narrow win over Chad Gray, Todd Roberts,. Jack Hurford and Doug Fox. Gray won the dash over Fillson and Hurford and Gray won the heat over Hurford and Roberts. David Terry won the 15 lap Hornet feature over Michael Ellsworth, K. Jeffery Harrell, James Trussell, Ed Martz and Scott Binkley. Trussell and Martz started on the poll a lap down due to exceeding the 18 second limit in the heat. Terry won the dash over Martz and Trussell and Martz won the heat over Trussell and Terry. Mark Pebler dominated the Karts as he won the 15 lap feature and lapped every kart! Marshall Pebler was 2nd followed by Dillon Dane, Jack Sanders and Justin Goff. Results were the same in the heat. The Karts return to action September 16. At intermission Scott Binkley gave anyone who wanted it a ride around the track in his MTC for a donation for Pennies for Puppies! Sunday is Send Out Cards First Annual Announcers Choice races with $500 to win for Sportsmen (field divided into two features if we have at least 24 cars), Street Stocks and Mini Stocks. Mini Thunder Cars will run for $250 to win and Hornets for $150. Plus lap money and 6 foot tall trophies to the feature winners! As if all that was not enough, the Allison Legacy Series will make their first ever appearance at the historic Mottville Speedway! The 3 Announcers-Tony Eldridge, Jason Seltzer and Anyd Jack will also run a special race! All this for just $10 general admission for adults, $5 for ages 12 and under, $25 for a family pass (2 adults and unlimited children 12 and under) and $25 for a pit pass. Gates open at 3pm with racing action starting at 5 pm!
